In the 19th century the skins of larger animals such as cow, buffalo and donkey skins were used in the raw, untanned state, and the skins of smaller animals such as calf, goat, sheep were used as furs for clothing .

We use buffalo leather explicitly for all our products. These are durable and robust leathers that can be classified as coarse pore aniline leather. Unlike normal cowhide, buffalo hide has a significantly coarser porosity. For this very reason, buffalo leather is preferred for benches, chairs , sofas and armchairs.

In this type of skin, ecological dyes penetrate deep into the pores during the coloring process, without changing the surface of the skin. The structure of the skin remains unchanged. Precisely for this reason, color differences can sometimes occur.

Buffalo leather is characterized by a typical grain structure in which the hair channels are clearly visible. The buffalo hide fades over time, giving it its typical character. It is performed on the granulated side, which is characterized by various injuries, such as healed scars and insect bites, affected areas without hair or areas where the skin is thickened. These details give the buffalo leather a rustic, natural look.

Leather is very robust and stable and is therefore very suitable for the production of furniture such as chairs , armchairs , benches , tables and sofas.
